It’s our job to look below the surface and discover if there’s anything you really need to know about the property, before you purchase it. Not only does a property survey ensure you’re fully informed about potential problems, it could also help you negotiate a reduction in the purchase price if issues do become apparent.

We can also provide advice for you if you’re buying ‘off plan’. As well as advise you if you actually need a full survey or, alternatively, a Homebuyers Report. Which, while not as extensive, can sometimes be more cost effective.

Why do you need one?

We always advise homebuyers to commission a building survey for any property in London. But, especially if the house or property is relatively large or of unusual construction. Also, if the property has been extended or altered. Or where an extension, alteration or renovation is planned.

A survey is also advisable for older properties that are in a poor condition and need modernising. But, quite frankly, even if the property looks modern and conventional, a survey is always a good idea, to protect your potential investment.
